A BIEMH full of ambitious technology and content
A confirmed 1,300+ exhibiting companies means a BIEMH full of ambitious technology and contents
More than 1,300 leading international firms have confirmed their participation at BIEMH, the International Machine-Tool Biennial, which will hold its 30th edition within four months, from 28 May to 1 June 2018.
Given the companies, products, services and innovations named so far, the event is shaping up to b an extremely ambitious year in terms of approach, content and technology, which will respond to the challenges related to the need to create new, ever-more competitive industrial solutions in the world of advanced manufacturing.
Furthermore, since the commercial campaign began in June last year, the event has achieved significant percentages of growth, especially in terms of parameters, a positive trend that has been continuous in the past few years, marking a recovery in industrial activity. Thanks to this situation, the first round of exhibitors highlights the presence of new businesses and those returning to the fair, renewing their confidence in this space, with a 22% and 10%, respectively, of the total number of firms so far.
In terms of sectors, there is particular growth in components and accessories, which already accounts for 29%, and machinery for sheet metal forming, at 14%, and a large number of the latest generation of laser and plasma cutting machines. The remaining exhibition space is divided, so far, between large metal forming machinery (23%), in which there will be some very notable innovations, and tools (17%), as well as metrology and CAD-CAM, automation and robotics, machinery and equipment for surface treatment, and other machines and services for businesses.
Beyond our borders, businesses are making the most of the opportunities offered by BIEMH in a context of restored domestic demand, accredited by an industrial production index in 2017 of 4.7%, and an above average behaviour of capital goods. In this context, the international scope of the event is once again affirmed this year with the presence of exhibiting firms from a total of 20 countries: Germany, Italy, Japan, France, Portugal, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Denmark, Slovakia, the United States, the Netherlands, Israel, Poland, the United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Taiwan and Turkey.
All of them, domestic and foreign, will make BIEMH into the largest platform for Industry 4.0 in our country. This year we incorporate a new space, Be Digital, dedicated to digital transformation, held in parallel with the third edition of Addit3D. Additive and 3D Manufacturing have become one of the central themes among production specialists. Finally, the event is rounded off by the WorkInn Industrial Employment Forum and the IMIC-Industrial Maintenance Innovation Conference.
